The ever-expanding probe into Jeffrey Epstein’s pedophile ring is now threatening to derail the Israeli election as DailyMail.com has obtained exclusive pictures of one of Benjamin Netanyahu’s main challengers hiding his face as he entered the convicted sex offender’s Manhattan townhouse.
A bevy of young women were also seen going into the multi-millionaire’s lavish seven-story home on the same day that Ehud Barak was snapped.
Barak, a former prime minister of Israel w now trying to make a comeback in Israeli politics, has long had business ties to Epstein, which Netanyahu’s team are now trying to exploit.
And the pictures that DailyMail.com has obtained are certain to add fuel to the fire, as Barak claims he has 'never met Epstein in the company of women or young girls.'
The photographs were taken in January 2016 after Epstein, now 66, had returned to New York after an overseas trip.
Within hours at least four young women had gone to the home that the federal government wants to seize as part of its new case against the financier.

He has been charged with sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors for sex
DailyMail.com reported at the time that the women included long-time Epstein friends Sue Hamblin and Jennifer Kalin as well as Russian model Lana Pozhidaeva.
A fourth, unidentified, woman was seen joining Epstein on a trip to Teterborough Airport in New Jersey, where Epstein keeps his plane and where he was arrested on the tarmac on July 6 after he flew in from France.
At the time, the identity of the man seen with his own security detail going to Epstein’s mansion on East 71st Street was unclear. Now DailyMail.com has confirmed it was Barak.
Separately, he admitted to the Daily Beast, that it was him but said his visit was innocent. 'I was there, for lunch or chat, nothing else. So what?'
'I never attended a party with him. I never met Epstein in the company of women or young girls.'
Barak, now 77, was wearing a camouflage-design neck gaiter which he pulled high over his face almost to his glasses when he went into the East 77th Street mansion. When he came out more than an hour later, he was wearing it on his head.
He told the Daily Beast he was bundled up against the January New York weather. 'It was so cold the Middle Easterner had to put on a hat.'

According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz Epstein invested millions of dollars in Barak's company, Carbyne, which develops geolocation software for emergency services
He also said he had been to Little St. James, Epstein's private island in the US Virgin Islands, admitting it was after revelations that Epstein used the island for underage sex. Again, he said he had not been to any parties or met girls there.

Details for former president Bill Clinton and Britain's Prince Andrew were included but had not been circled.
Barak, who was Israeli prime minister from 1999-2001 and then defense minister from 2007-2013 has been seen as having a real chance of ending Netanyahu's 10-year reign at the helm of Israeli politics.
Last month he announced the formation of a new party to fight do-over elections scheduled for September 17 after an earlier poll ended in deadlock.
This weekend Barak wrote on Facebook that he is trying to break off his business relations with Epstein. 'For almost five years, a company associated with Epstein has been a passive investor in a limited partnership, legally registered in Israel and under my control,' he wrote.
'Every investor in this partnership is bound by the same commercial contract. As soon as the present charges related to Epstein became known, I instructed my lawyers to examine the options we have for expelling the company associated with Epstein from this partnership.'
According to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz Epstein invested millions of dollars in Barak's company, Carbyne, which develops geolocation software for emergency services.

Carbyne also received $2.5 million from Epstein's former close friend, Victoria's Secret boss Les Wexner, the Miami Herald reported. Wexner bought Epstein's mansion for a record $13.2 million in 1989 but never moved in.
Ownership was transferred to Epstein in 2011. The house is now valued at around $77 million. Wexner says he severed ties from Epstein about 10 years ago.
At the weekend, Barak told the Israeli version of Meet the Press that he had no idea that Epstein's charges involved underage girls. 'He'd served his sentence for soliciting prostitution — the indictment didn't say she was a minor,' he said.
Prosecutors claim Epstein had a false Saudi passport with his picture in a safe in his mansion, alongside hundreds of naked photographs of women and girls, 'piles of cash' and 'dozens of diamonds'

'The American system itself did not label him as a persona non grata,' Barak added. 'The secretary who just resigned in the Trump administration was the prosecutor and he said he'd been negligent — so you expect me to have noticed [anything wrong]?' he added, referring to Alex Acosta who resigned as labor secretary last week.
Netanyahu's right-wing Likud Party has already called for a criminal investigation into Barak's ties to Epstein. The prime minister tweeted that he should investigated 'immediately'.
Epstein is currently locked up in the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan as he waits for a judge to announce whether he should be released on bail. He has been charged with sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors for sex.
His lawyer told Judge Richard Berman on Monday that he was willing to post $100 million bail but prosecutors say he should remain in custody until his trial as their case is 'already significantly stronger and getting stronger every day.'
Prosecutor Alex Rossmiller said a false Saudi passport with Epstein's picture was found in a safe when cops raided his mansion last weekend, alongside hundreds of naked photographs of women and girls, 'piles of cash' and 'dozens of diamonds.'
He said several women had come forward following Epstein's indictment and now prosecutors are trying to corroborate their accusations.
Two alleged victims, Courtney Wild and Anna Farmer, told Judge Berman that Epstein should be denied bail. 'I was sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein at the age of 14,' said Wild. 'He is a scary person to have walking the street.
Farmer said: 'I was 16 years old when I had the misfortune of meeting Mr. Epstein here in New York.' She gave no details other than saying he had been 'inappropriate' with her.

"Bibi, you are talking about offenders?" the video asks. "And what about Arnaud Mimran?"
Former prime minister Ehud Barak released a video on Tuesday morning in an apparent counterattack to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who commented on Barak's links to sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein. In the video, Barak pointed out Netanyahu's close relationship with convicted French tax evader Arnaud Mimran.
"Bibi, you are talking about offenders?" the video asks. "And what about Arnaud Mimran?"
The video plays a recording of Mimran talking about his relationship with Netanyahu, saying "I know the Israeli prime minister personally. He was in my home."
The video then cuts to Netanyahu saying he received 100 million euro from Mimran for the 2009 elections.
Mimran was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2015.
Likud put out a video about Barak's connection to Epstein and the money he received from the Jewish American billionaire's foundation amounting to $2.3 million for research - which the video claims was never carried out.
"Barak has, until today, avoided revealing the research," the video proclaims.
On Monday, Barak attacked Netanyahu for a tweet he issued targeting Israeli journalist Guy Peleg for a quote he published from the ongoing investigation against the prime minister.
Netanyahu had attacked Peleg on Twitter for publicizing testimony about his use of sinus medicine on Channel 12, calling the quote "fake news."
Peleg responded in a tweet, saying "Mr. Netanyahu, let's tell the truth for once. You're the one who asked that this quote from Shefer's questioning be added in."
Barak used the opportunity to attack Netanyahu, tweeting: "The shame of the dweller of [the official residence of] Balfour has been revealed. Who would have believed that this is what the prime minister of Israel is dealing with?! As Netanyahu himself said about [former prime minister Ehud] Olmert: 'A prime minister who is buried up to his neck in probes cannot function ...' Sad."
The Twitter bickering is part of a burgeoning feud between Netanyahu and Barak. On Sunday, the two fought over Twitter, where Netanyahu posted an article about alleged pedophile and sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, who was arrested on Saturday night in New York on sex trafficking charges. Netanyahu complained that the Israeli media was not criticizing Barak over his connections to Epstein.
Barak responded by turning the tables on Netanyahu.
“It pains me that people I know have gotten in trouble with the law,” Barak wrote on Twitter. “First came Netanyahu and now Epstein. I hope for both of them that the truth will come to light.”
Netanyahu began the social media battle on Sunday by calling Barak’s new Israel Democratic Party a joke, when speaking to supporters live on Facebook during a visit to a Jerusalem coffee shop.
FBI finds Epstein kept piles of cash, diamonds and a fake passport

Accused child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein allegedly kept $56m. in cash, former prime minister Ehud Barak distances himself from the scandal.
FBI agents unearthed massive piles of cash, diamonds, and a fake passport issued under a false name with the picture of alleged sex offender Jeffrey Epstein with an address listed in Saudi Arabia, The New York Post reported on Monday.
Epstein, who used to have social contacts with well known figures in US and world politics - including US President Donald Trump, former US president Bill Clinton and former prime minister Ehud Barak - is being investigated for suspicion of paying minors for sex.
“As soon as the current charges about Epstein were known," said Barak, "I instructed my lawyers to examine our options for removing the company associated with Epstein from the Limited Partnership,” the Jewish Press reported.
Under US law, a sexual assault on a child takes place when the child is under 15 years of age and the person committing the sexual assault is four years older than the victim.
Prosecutors said Epstein kept various lewd photographs in his home safe.
Epstein, who is a wealthy financier, was arrested on July 6 for alleged sex trafficking of minors.
His assets are estimated to be worth roughly $559 million, CNBC reported.
He was convicted in 2008 for soliciting a child for prostitution and struck a plea bargain with US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Alexander Acosta.
Acosta, who is the current US Secretary of Labor, announced he will step down on Friday.
Unlike 2008, when he pleaded guilty, Epstein claims he is not guilty of the allegation he paid young teenage girls, who are considered children under US law, for sexual favors in his NY and Florida homes.
The decision regarding Epstein being granted bail or not will be announced on Thursday. If granted, the bail is expected to be to the tune of $100m.
Among the assets Epstein owns and are now public knowledge is an island in the US Virgin Islands called Little St. James.
Local St. Thomas boat charters operator Kevin Goodrich told NBC “everybody called it ‘Pedophile Island.’”
Another St. Thomas resident told NBC local people thought Epstein was “too rich to be policed properly.”
Barak accuses Netanyahu of Daily Mail 'blood libel,' compares himself to Rabin

“This has been a disgusting blood libel that should surprise no one, because anyone who has challenged Netanyahu over the past 25 years has endured it."
Israel Democratic Party leader Ehud Barak unleashed a fierce attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday night at a rally in Tel Aviv launching his new party.
Barak spoke the night after the Daily Mail published an article that made it appear that he took part in a party with underage women at convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s New York home in January 2016. He accused Netanyahu of being behind the article.
“This has been a disgusting blood libel that should surprise no one, because anyone who has challenged Netanyahu over the past 25 years has endured it,” Barak told his sweaty supporters in a packed room that lacked air-conditioners.
He cited the 1995 assassination of then-prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, and false attacks on former foreign minister David Levy and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz, blaming Netanyahu for all of them.
“This must stop, and it will stop,” Barak said. “No one will make me a criminal or a traitor just because I have exposed the destruction of democracy by the suspect who currently lives in the former home of Rabin.”
Barak called himself a “feminist” and called Epstein’s crimes disgusting. He said he was disconnecting all his remaining business ties with Epstein, contrasting himself to Netanyahu, who still is advised by his former chief of staff Natan Eshel, who had to leave his post due to sexual harassment.
“No fake news of a fake prime minister will stop us,” Barak said. “Netanyahu will continue telling lies about me, and I will continue telling the truth about him.”
Barak also called Netanyahu’s son Yair “a parasite.”
The Daily Mail photographed Barak entering Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse with his face hidden, on the same day in January 2016 that a large group of women were seen entering the home. He explained that his face was covered because it was cold in New York that day.
Barak vowed to sue the newspaper for defamation, in a warning letter his British lawyers wrote to the newspaper.
“The article is disgraceful,” the lawyers wrote. “It makes a number of very serious allegations against, and insinuations about, our client, which are highly defamatory and entirely untrue. Most seriously, you have sought to draw our client into the Epstein affair, suggesting that he is somehow involved in Epstein’s pedophile ring. This is false, as you well know.”
The lawyers complained that the newspaper did not seek a response from Barak. They noted that the article was picked up by news media all over the world.
Barak’s lawyers demanded that in addition to removing the article from the newspaper’s website, a correction and apology be published prominently; a statement together with Barak retracting the article in open court; not republishing the allegations; and that the newspaper “pay our client substantial damages to vindicate his reputation and to compensate him for the serious harm that has been done to his reputation and for the distress, hurt and humiliation that your publication has caused him.”
In his speech, Barak called upon the Labor and Meretz parties to join forces with his party “in order to guarantee Israel’s future.” He attacked Blue and White and its leader, Benny Gantz, for not winning the April election.
“Blue and White didn’t have the energy,” Barak said. “They refused to punch and be punched in order to win. They didn’t have the courage to make decisions or the ability to implement them.”
A Likud spokesman called Barak’s speech “lies.”
Yair Netanyahu, son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, slammed Barak on social media calling him "drunk on whisky" and "suffering from dementia."
"Barak using shin beit security services... on the tax payer's dime," Netanyau wrote, "despite the twenty years which passed after he served for one year as the worst-functioning prime minister of the State of Israel ever had...that is the real shame!"

Barak's name and contact numbers were among around 50 circled in Epstein's 'little black book' which was published by Gawker in 2015. Other names circled included several victims of his pedophile ring, Donald Trump, Courtney Love and lawyer Alan Dershowitz.
