欧米など６カ国とイランが結んだ核合意に基づき１０月に期限切れを迎えるイランに対する武器禁輸措置をめぐり、国連安全保障理事会は１４日、禁輸措置延長を求める米国提案の決議案を否決した。採択には９カ国の賛成が必要だが、賛成２カ国（米国、ドミニカ）、反対２カ国（ロシア、中国）、棄権１１カ国（英仏など）だった。

トランプ米政権は、武器禁輸解除に伴うイランの軍事力強化を懸念。禁輸措置延長のため最終手段としてスナップバック発動を示唆しているが、中国やロシアは、米国について2018年に核合意の離脱を宣言したことから「参加国」に当たらず制裁再発動を求める資格はないと主張している。

IAEA査察を何度も受け合格と認められているイランの原発建設を「核開発」と騒ぎ立てて次々と制裁を科す米国外交については、欧州司法裁判所で争われたが、米国がただ1つの証拠も提出できなかったことから、「根拠なし。よって制裁は解除されなければならない」との最終判決が下され、英仏独の銀行がイランに対し巨額の賠償金と罰金を支払わされた経緯がある。
産油国の原油輸出収入＋賠償金＋罰金だから大変な金額なのだ。その時、米国は1円も支払わなかった。騒いでいるのは米国とイスラエルだけで、欧州諸国は「もうこりごり。そこまでして米国に付き合う必要はない」と思っている。
米国にとり実に都合の悪いこの記事に関連する全投稿を、Webryは憲法に明記された表現の自由を踏みにじり、私に無断で勝手に検閲削除した。
